Mongoose recently announced that Maxine ‘Max’ Mayfield from the Netflix’s Stranger Things would be roaming the streets of Hawkins, Indiana on a special edition Mongoose bike. And beginning last week, that very same bike became available to purchase exclusively Target.

After receiving creative direction from the Netflix team, Mongoose quickly got to work sourcing period-specific bike parts from local thrift stores and garage sales to erect the bikes used for filming Season 3. All the bikes seen on the new season were sourced and assembled by the Mongoose team in Madison, Wisconsin. Once the set bikes were finished and shipped to Netflix for filming, the team shifted direction and began working on a replica model of Max’s bike which will be available for purchase at Target and Target.com!
